Pfizer wants the FDA to eliminate warning related to suicide thoughts on drug Chantix even though it has been linked to more reports of suicidal thoughts than any other drug
Even though according to a report submitted to the FDA, the smoking cessation drug Chantix is linked to more reports involving suicidal thoughts and behaviors than any other medication sold in the U.S., its manufacturer (Pfizer) is urging the federal drug regulators to remove a “black box” warning added to their product in 2009 about the risk of psychiatric side effects.
