FDA considers halting Avandia safety study; taking the drug off the market next?

Today, The Wall Street Journal reports that the FDA is considering whether to stop a diabetes drug safety study involving patients taking Avandia due to concerns over heart risks and Pharmalot adds that halting the study could also determine whether the drug stays on the market.
