Regulation of pitbulls?

Here is a story from back in March that I saved for our class discussion of damages caused by animals... Oregon is considering a bill to ban pit bulls from the entire state. Oregon may be the first state to declare owning pit bulls a crime, if the legislation passes. Pit bull owners insist that their dogs are not more vicious and that it is the fault of the owners.
